Working in teams of three, Cureton students filmed their clay parts for the animation. We had three stations set up. This was a big improvement from last year's two camera. I am grateful that teachers Ms. Illa and Ms. Rothrock opened up their classes to this project. I have been working with Ms. Illa on stop motion animations for her students since I began exploring such workshops and was using only one camera!
Below is a test build of the images taken so far. The pacing will change a bit for the final animation. We will be completing the filming on Monday (May 24th). We will be also recording narration on Monday.
It is important for the students to write their names on a piece of paper before I film each sequence. That way we can easily match up the audio files and the animation sequences in Monkey Jam and Primere Elements.
When students are waiting to film or have completed filming I had them work on their scripts. It is important to have multiple activities for them to work on as they will all finish the filming at different times.
Set up. I was lucky to have several teachers in training helping me as well as the teachers themselves.
